Engineering Confidence Below Water
KMC is redefining how infrastructure begins — delivering large-scale marine ground improvement through precision-engineered Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) solutions.
Marine construction begins with people who know the ground.
ABOUT KMC
Korea Marine Construction (KMC) is a marine engineering company delivering ground improvement solutions for critical infrastructure built on soft seabed conditions.
Our expertise lies in Deep Cement Mixing (DCM), a method we’ve refined through direct, hands-on experience in the field. We support the development of ports, airports, and coastal reclamation by making unstable ground buildable, safely, efficiently, and at scale.
Backed by technical depth and a growing vessel capacity, KMC is built not on theory, but on work that’s already been done.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Mr. Chul Keun Kim
Mr. Chul Keun Kim, founder of Korea Marine Construction (KMC), is a seasoned expert in marine infrastructure and Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) with over 20 years of experience.
He previously led one of Asia’s largest marine ground improvement works at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), delivering 926,000 m³ of DCM under Contract 3201 — a milestone project completed with precision, compliance, and zero safety incidents.
His leadership continues to shape KMC’s mission: building faster, safer, and sustainable marine infrastructure from the seabed up.
Founder's Flagship Project:
HKIA DCM Expansion
From 2016–2019, Mr. Kim served as Project Controller and official representative for DCM operations on the HKIA Third Runway Expansion, one of Asia’s largest marine ground improvement undertakings.
